Bad Elf GNSS Surveyor
The Bad Elf GNSS Surveyor (and GPS Pro+) are excellent values for those looking to get better performance from that of their phone or tablets. Personal devices like consumer phones and tablets use what we refer to as aGPS, or "Assisted GPS". This is a combination of technologies built in to the phones and tablets (using cellular ranging and GPS) to get a position. Adequate for getting to the gas station, but not data collection. The GNSS Surveyor and GPS Pro+ use a powerful uBlox chipset to get better positioning from a full-time GNSS chip utilizing GPS, GLONASS and QZSS (not aGPS), greatly improving the relaibility and performance in urban, suburban or rural environments.
The Advantage of Bluetooth GNSS for all Platforms:
Because these Bad Elf devices do not have a built-in computer, it cannot become obsolete. One project, connect it to your Android, iOS or Windows tablet, or keep it compact with a smartphone, or phablet.
